Nathan Motley Gallery Bio Resume Prints

My paintings vary from abstract images to distorted perspectives of reality. I like using vivid colors especially fire engine red and bursting sunshine yellow to depict the mood or the character or the image. Most of my works are posed because I prefer to work from reality as opposed to photography. My paintings are unique in the different array of colors used and the textures of them. Each one is entirely different and has a deep meaning either to myself or my ideas about meaning in life or the people in my life. Each one is symbolic of my existence in one way or another.

Last year I applied for teaching jobs at VCU. I am currently working privately with students teaching them art techniques. Teaching art is something that intrigues me. Particulary interested in getting in contact with individuals and institutions needing teachers.

Please contact me for commission work if interested.

Current show at Capital Coffee, 2928 W Cary St.       Up for the month of March.
